We often get questions inquiring about our research process and approach. While we take a share-as-we-go approach with our research, I wanted to take this opportunity to give you a peek behind the curtain.

Our research agenda is driven by what you want to know. We always seek to understand the business problems you face and strive to fill the knowledge gaps to help you get the best, most actionable insights. Our study of a topic typically involves the following steps covered over 4-6 months:

• Premise. We formulate our hypothesis and the questions we hope to answer through the study.
• Literature review. As researchers steeped in academia, we pay particular attention to all that has been written on the topic.

• Data collection. We look to our community to help us collect data through surveys, interviews, and roundtables. Our roundtable discussions are especially unique, designed to be highly interactive and open to RedThread members as well as non-members! On that note, I would recommend always keeping an eye on our newsletters for opportunities to participate in and inform our research.
• Analysis and insight identification. Our favorite part (or at least mine) is when we dig into the information you all share with us to draw insights.
• Infographic summary and final report. The satisfaction and happiness we feel upon sharing the results of our love and labor is a feeling unmatched by anything else.

All this is to say that our work would not be possible without you and your support. You, as part of our community, are an integral part of what we do. And for that, we are grateful.
