Workplace Stories Podcast

At RedThread, we love our data, but we know that what you remember is stories. That’s why we and Chris Pirie of the Learning Futures Group started this new workplace podcast, where we hear from thinkers, writers, leaders, and practitioners as they tell their stories about what works in the workplace, what they’ve learned, and what they hope to see in the future. We hope you find it inspirational, motivational, a touch irreverent—and fun!

The Great Reconnection

In this new season of Workplace Stories, The Great Reconnection, we will explore how leaders should approach this work. We will talk to authors and business leaders who are rethinking what leadership means today, in light of the last two years, and explore how they are planning to scale this new approach across organizations. We will specifically dive into the role of managers, and how they can bring more humanity, empathy, and care to their role, while still enabling their teams to be effective and productive. We will explore the role of colleagues and peers in enabling greater connection. Finally, we will seek to understand the role of data, technology, and new digital-first ways of working in making The Great Reconnection successful.

Skills Odyssey II

Adventures in Hybrid Work

In this season, we'll be talking to people who are at the forefront of thinking about hybrid work in these new ways—academics and researchers, as well as leaders from employee development, performance management, DEIB, and other people functions. We're particularly interested in their changes to leadership behaviors, technology, performance management practices, employee engagement efforts, learning, and employee development that have enabled and accelerated the shift to hybrid. And we'll examine the impact of hybrid work on frontline workers, DEIB, and retention efforts.
